Snapseed, my perennial go-to app for almost every photo, is surprisingly available for FREE

I love this app and had myself bought it at its full price of £2.99. Seems like while going on the New Year celebrations, they decided to let the price loose... Grab it while you can!

POTD: Sunrise Landscapes - Part2 + Thank You Note

I personally don't believe too much in the concept of old year and new year – I think we live in a continuum of time moving from one moment to the other. Nevertheless, I would like to take a pause at this point in time and thank you all for your strong support and constant encouragement which prodded me on to develop this huge passion for photography. Without your help, it would have been impossible to sustain my new found hobby for this long. We have come a long distance in the last four and a half months during which our POTD membership has soared to nearly seventy (70) members (in GS) and we have been able to share 300+ photos in the group. It is a bit of an oxymoron when compared to the beginning of my note, but I would like to wish you and your families a very fun filled and dreams fulfilling Happy New Year!

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

POTD: The Road Not Taken

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveller, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference

POTD: Lake Manyara Sunset

I wonder why when you say goodbye
beautiful colours paint the sky.
Shades of orange, yellow and pink too
all come out because of you.
And although I hate to see you go,
I really do enjoy the show.
I've seen you leave so many times
and still it's a favourite sight of mine.
There'll be no sadness, be no sorrow
because my sun, you'll come out tomorrow.
I won't feel hurt, I'll feel no pain
because on your way down, your colours will reign.

WithCam looks quite a promising customised frame making app

The app is currently available for Free, though you need to make an in-app purchase of £0.69 to remove the water mark. I have used the app and found it to be very interesting for making my own frames using existing photos on my camera roll. One of the biggest drawbacks I experienced is I can't use my existing pictures to fit into the customised frame - I have to compulsorily take a real time picture, which is quite a hindrance. I might not be able to use this app much before they add the feature to use existing photos for pictures in the frame. Nevertheless it's a very good idea and I will look forward to getting some updates on this.
